Snappi Thinks x Lovable: How to Build Your First App in Athens

“It was a great mix of ideas and people, and everybody had something to contribute.”
Eleni Lialiamou, Founder, Kimolian
An hour of building, and then everyone presented what they had made. That was Snappi Thinks x Lovable: How to Build Your First App, a hands-on workshop at The Snappi Hub in Athens, a really wonderful venue.
Our founder, Eleni Lialiamou, a Lovable Ambassador Alumna, co-facilitated it with Lina Kiriakou. The workshop was for aspiring builders and founders in Athens, with no technical background required, and it was designed to take an idea to a working prototype with Lovable: finding the problem, shaping the product specs and building with no code.
Starting With the Problem
Lina kicked things off with a great talk on what can go wrong in our thinking, how to focus on problems people would actually pay to solve, and why the way we ask questions and prototype early helps us test ideas sooner. From there, it was everyone’s turn to build.
A Whole Hour of Building
The participants built for a whole hour, and for many of them it was their first time using Lovable. The ideas came from all directions: healthy eating, safety for women on roads, digitising designs for houses and buildings, and the benefits of buying organic, soft fabrics like linen and cotton. There were plenty of other applications too, with people finding ways to solve all kinds of problems.
Then they presented what they had made. Eleni found it really rewarding to watch.
A Mix of Ideas and People
The workshop brought together a wide mix of ideas and people, and everyone had something to contribute. Many were using Lovable for the first time, so seeing what they put together was a highlight.
What We Want for First-Time Builders at Kimolian
At Kimolian, we want more people to be able to take an idea and test it early. A workshop where many people used Lovable for the first time and still had something to present shows what that can look like.
