Women in Tech Awards 2026: Kimolian Academy Represented as a Tech for Good Finalist
by Favour Patrick ·

“The sense of shared community made clear why this work continues to matter.”
Agne Ajauskaite, Kimolian community member
Finalists, a three-course dinner and women who build, lead and mentor. That was the Women in Tech Awards 2026 ceremony at the BCEC, Holiday Inn, in Birmingham, run by B Events.
Our founder, Eleni Lialiamou, was a finalist for the Tech for Good Award, one of 12 in the category. She wasn’t at the ceremony, but Kimolian was. Agne Ajauskaite, a member of our community, attended and represented us on the night.
The Impact Behind Kimolian’s Tech for Good Shortlisting
Kimolian Academy runs a 12-week AI product management programme for women from underrepresented backgrounds, where participants work on live briefs from paying clients. Since 2023, 120 women have trained across seven cohorts, with 48 career outcomes documented. The shortlisting recognised what the programme is able to do: give women who often struggle to get the experience employers ask for a real way into tech, and real work to show for it.
An Evening at the Women in Tech Awards
For Agne, being there on the night was a true honour. The evening brought together women who build, lead, mentor and create genuine impact, and the energy was purposeful. It was inspiring, and a reminder of just how much women are capable of. The conversations carried real weight.
Evenings like this are a chance to connect with women who believe in one another and refuse to give up, and the connections made there can last and change the course of someone’s experience. It was an evening of real depth, and congratulations go to every finalist and winner.
What We’re Working Towards at Kimolian
Kimolian’s objective is to give women from underrepresented backgrounds the experience employers look for. They get it by working on live briefs from paying clients during the programme, then staying connected to a community that carries on after the cohort ends. That is the work this shortlisting recognised, and it is where our focus stays.
